Dr. Dave Flippo has performed for numerous private events throughout the Chicago area for over thirty years - weddings, receptions, corporate events and more. He can appear as a soloist or small ensemble leader,
with or without vocals.
Dave combines classical technique and extensive jazz training with over thirty years of experience in area hotels, clubs, private homes and event venues across Chicago-land. He brings passion, creativity and professionalism to every performance, insuring a unique, personal and memorable experience.
His wide-ranging interests and versatility are reflected in the range of music he commands - all styles of jazz, show tunes, piano bar favorites, popular music from the 60's, 70's and 80's up to the newest contemporary gems and classical music. Other styles he offers include ragtime and Bollywood. His recent engagement at Big Shot Piano Lounge in Arlington Heights, greatly expanded his piano bar, classic rock and popular styling and repertoire and his vocal abilities.
Vocals are always optional and range from Sinatra, Buble and Tony Bennett to Billy Joel, The Beatles, Sheeran, Sting, Mars, Jagger and Mraz. Dave earned his Doctorate in Music Composition at the University of Michigan and his Masters at the Eastman School of Music.
